Choosing & Using Card Sleeves

What is the purpose of card sleeves?

Card sleeves help protect board game and card game cards from everyday wear, dirt, moisture, accidental spills, and frequent handling. Sleeves can also make thin cards easier to handle and shuffle while helping preserve cards that are used regularly.

How do I find the right card sleeve size?

The easiest way is to search for your game using our sleeve-size tools. Our database matches more than 10,000 board games and expansions with recommended Sleeve Kings SKUs.

Visit our Card Sleeves by Size & SKU page to use the Sleeve Kings Sleever App or Google Sheet and find the correct sleeve sizes and quantities for your game.

How thick are Sleeve Kings card sleeves?

Sleeve Kings Standard Card Game Sleeves are 60 microns thick, compared with typical 40-micron standard sleeves. This provides additional protection while keeping the sleeves practical for everyday board game use.

Are Sleeve Kings sleeves acid-free and PVC-free?

Yes. Sleeve Kings Standard Card Game Sleeves are made from clear, acid-free and PVC-free polypropylene to help protect your cards during regular use and storage.

Do sleeves scratch cards?

Card sleeves should not scratch cards during normal use. Before inserting a card, check the inside of the sleeve for dust, dirt, or other small particles that could come into contact with the card surface.

Do I need to double sleeve my cards?

Double sleeving is not necessary for every card or game, but it can provide an additional layer of protection, particularly for valuable cards or cards that are handled frequently.

How do I properly sleeve cards?

First, check the sleeve for dust or dirt and remove any particles. Gently open the sleeve and slide the card inside without forcing it. Push the card down carefully until it is fully seated inside the sleeve.

How do I flatten sleeved cards?

First, make sure you are using a sleeve size that closely matches your card dimensions. If newly sleeved cards contain excess air, place the stack on a clean, flat, dry surface and gently weigh it down with a book for a period of time.

Finding Sleeves for Your Board Game

How do I find sleeves for a specific board game?

Use our Sleeve Kings Sleeve Finder to search more than 10,000 board games and expansions and find compatible Sleeve Kings SKUs, card dimensions, sleeve quantities, and the number of packs needed.

Can I buy all the sleeves I need for one game together?

For many popular games, yes. Our Board Game Card Sleeve Bundles combine the appropriate sleeve sizes and quantities for individual board games and expansions, so you do not have to purchase each sleeve type separately.

Orders & Shipping

EU & UK Orders

If you are in the UK or EU and want to purchase card sleeves we cannot sell to you from this website. Doing so would require us to remit VAT taxes to all EU countries and the UK and it just isn't practical for us to do that. Instead you can order from maydaygames.eu and we will ship directly from our warehouse in the UK. Please do not try to check out on any shipments to the EU or the UK from our website as we will only have to refund you for the order and ask you to order from our EU website.

Combined Shipping

If you aren't aware, Swan Panasia shares a warehouse in Utah, USA with both MaydayGames.com and SwanPanasiaSleeves.com. If you want to order some Sleeve Kings products along with products from either of those websites we can easily combine the orders and refund you any shipping across any of these three sites.

Please put in your orders from the same email account and be sure they are both shipping to the same address, then email support@sleevekings.com with the email subject "Combined Shipping". Tell us the two order numbers and customer service will combine the two orders in our shipping software and refund you the difference.

Note that sometimes our warehouse is TOO efficient and ships out before we can get the word to combine orders, but if that happens customer service will still refund your shipping.

Shipping From China

Please note that we also offer shipping from China to you in MOST countries directly at a usually much cheaper price, but at the trade off of the shipping taking much longer to arrive to you. You can find a full list of the shipping prices we are charging from China to various countries by weight HERE.

Note that most of these shipping rates to Europe will come with our IOSS number attached, meaning the VAT is prepaid. We recommend you order directly from our EU website at maydaygames.eu for better options, more stock and faster shipping rates.

Please note the shipping times from China are ESTIMATES only and things like the annual National Holiday (First week of October each year), Chinese New Year (about 3 weeks in January or February each year) will delay shipping past the "estimated" delivery dates. We are so sorry but we can't refund your shipping due to extra delays on shipments as such things are out of our control.

Shipping Options & Processing Speed

Note that on checkout you can select your preferred shipping method. The estimated transit time and the shipping cost will display.

We also offer flat rate Priority Mail options and Ground Advantage (formerly First Class Mail) through the US Postal Service. Those options will arrive faster and with better tracking information along the way. UPS may be a better option for heavier shipments.

Priority Mail is 2–3 days from the day we ship it, so it is generally the fastest, but it usually takes us 1–2 business days to ship your order out. Our warehouse staff is quick but during peak times, like around the holidays and after special promotions, we can take up to 5 business days to get things shipped out.

If you are really in a hurry and want your order shipped out quickly we suggest you order from our Amazon store HERE as we ship those orders out first and those go out within 1 business day, all the time.

Please don't email customer service asking why your order hasn't shipped unless it has been more than 3 business days normally, or 5 business days if it is right after a sale or the holidays.

Warehouse Pickup

If you are in Utah and want to pick up your order from us, go ahead and check out on your order and email support@sleevekings.com to let us know you would like to pick up your order. We can arrange for that and refund your shipping when you pick up at our warehouse.

Please note our new warehouse address of 3447 North 1340 West, Ste 102, Spanish Fork UT 84660. We are generally there Monday–Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.

If you want to just come in and pick something up rather than order online you are welcome to do that, just come in and ask for Yolanda our warehouse manager. She will be happy to help you and will maybe even knock a little off your purchase price if you're nice to her, plus no shipping cost!

Policies & Contact

MAP Policy

Yes we have a MAP POLICY and you can read it HERE. In a nutshell we do NOT allow stores/distributors to sell any of our products online, especially not on Amazon's marketplace.

Order Cancellations for Mispricing

We are a very small company with less than a dozen employees, and many of us are part time at that. We aren't perfect and sometimes there is a pricing or coupon/discount error and we reserve the right to NOT ship any orders that are unreasonably priced on accident. We have to make a profit and stay in business so we won't knowingly ship orders that are sold at below our cost.

If you order something worth $100 for a penny don't expect us to ship it or get mad when we don't. If you get away with it we may come back and ask you to pay up or return the item, though of course we can't force you to. If you mispriced your bike on Facebook Marketplace and someone showed up at your door with $20 instead of the $200 you meant to list it at what would you do? Come on.
